Hi I’m Matthias
My passion is helping people set up their training in a way that actually fits into daily life. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s building habits that are solid enough to survive busy weeks, bad weather, work stress, and everything else life throws our way.
In other words: turning “I dread exercise…” into something you genuinely want to do.
Maybe we trained together recently, maybe it was a while ago, or maybe this is simply a place you found through an interest in training. Wherever the connection comes from, it’s good to have you here.
Every two weeks, there will be a short piece of food for thought about movement, training habits, and nutrition — simple ideas to reflect on or try out in your own routine.
Because time and attention are precious, the aim is to keep things short, practical, and useful.
Thoughts and perspectives are always welcome — whether in the comments, via email, or in person.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
— Ancient Chinese proverb

How to stay fit into old age
But that time, I decided to do something different.
I didn’t want to give an immediate answer by holding a lecture, counting all points that help to stay fit.
In our group was a 75 year old guy hiking with us who is really fit for his age.
So I asked HIM, how he stayed so fit over the years…
Mobility is freedom
We often think of mobility as something athletes work on. But if we practice it regularly, we gain a lot, too: Freedom to move comfortably through daily life.
Freedom to participate in sports and activities you enjoy.
Freedom to keep doing the things that matter to you as you get older.
Why strength training Matters
Strength training is more than a fitness trend – it's one of the most important foundations for a healthy, resilient body. Why muscles count as a resource and how just 2–3 sessions a week can make all the difference, Matthias explains in his latest blog post.
